Darek began his engineering career as an intern for UDOT in 1986 while a student at USU. He completed his education and holds master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University. Darek has worked in private consulting and in the public/governmental sector. He specializes in water and wastewater projects, but provides general civil services as well to clients in northern Utah and southern Idaho. He has been with J-U-B Engineers Inc. for 16 years in their Logan Utah office where he oversees projects and design involving; waterlines, water tanks, wells, pumps, treatment, wastewater, irrigation, roadway and others. Darek has been a member of AWWA since 2004, and has been a member, Chair, Council Chair, and Executive Committee member with the Conference Committee for the majority of those years. He also has a construction background in watermain and sewer line installation, roadway construction, irrigation, pumps, motors, controls and public works projects. He likes the trenches.
